Theater  has always been a passion of Kayla’s, and she is thrilled to turn that love into a career. Along with being an active theater, art, and music audience member she loves to read, write, take pictures, and travel. When not designing or drafting, Kayla enjoys long walks in cities or hiking on nature trails.

For the past three years Kayla has been the Design and Production Associate at the Know Theatre of Cincinnati, where she painted, propped and designed shows. During the pandemic the Know has continued to produce art of various forms, delivering theatre sometimes digitally, outdoors, or touring. The Know prides itself in producing accessible, diverse work that reflects its community and its young emerging theatre artists. She has helped produce the 2020, 2021, and 2022 Cincinnati Fringe Festivals.

Kayla has a BFA in Scenic Design at Boston University's School of Theater with a minor in the History of Architecture.  She has scenic designed at the Know Theatre of Cincinnati, Boston Playwrights Theatre, Boston University School of Theater, and Boston University's Opera Institute. Kayla has graphic designed for the Know Theatre of Cincinnati’s Radio Know programming and the Cincinnati Fringe Festival. Her summers during school have been spent scenic painting at Utah Shakespeare Festival, Berkshire Theatre Group, and Williamstown Theatre Festival.

As an artist, Kayla is dedicated to producing work that is meaningful and challenging to audiences, whether on stage or in the gallery. She wants to work on artistic pursuits she cares about with people just as dedicated and excited to share art with others.
