Prometheus Bound

BOSTON UNIVERSITY SCHOOL OF THEATRE 2016

MY ROLE: SCENIC ARTIST

Playwright: Aeschylus, translated by James Kerr

Director: Jonathan Solari

Scenic Designer: Bori Yoon

Lighting Designer: Gifford Williams

Costume Designer: Jonathan Berg Einhorn

Paint Charge: Courtney Licata

A play written from the perspective of Prometheus, undergoing the punishment for his actions, this production needed to put emphasis on one person, and his story. The set needed to convey a mountain but in a space that wasn't very tall. The set was a cut homasote board puzzle, which we textured over and painted over. There were mylar cracks running through the boards that shimmered under the lighting like silver lava.
