The Absentee takes place in the future, on a highly sophisticated space ship that has seen better days. This set had a lot of faux metal textures that were supposed to look beaten and scuffed up. I used a lot of found objects to create buttons and knobs all over the space ship, some of which worked, and some of which were fake. I found monitors and a gaming chair, which we altered to look more futuristic. We attached the monitors to the set so that they looked built in, we ran power and content to them. The main character was supposed to be drinking beer, but in space food containers, so I found some metal packaging and created my own label for it. I also got to replicate a Bob Ross painting, in acrylics.
