Set in a magical realism world, the Clean House was a fun challenge to do on a very minimal budget. The show takes place in a modern living room, specifically on a white couch. This show had more props then I’d ever done before in a single show, thankfully most of them modern and easy to find, however keeping chocolate ice cream, a casserole, and the ton of other consumables from staining the couch was a stage manager’s nightmare. The show also required me to make a fake fish bowl, and a large tree that could be brought onstage by an actor.
